RURAL ELECTRIFICATION / RESIDENTIAL SOLAR & WIND COMPANY LOOKING TO RAISE $14m – READY TO COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION WITH ALL PERMITS IN PLACE – WEST KALIMANTAN
Project type: Renewable Energy (off-grid)
Total Funding needed: US$ 14 Million -
Project Summary: Our client is developing 7.5MW of “roof-top” renewable energy power (Solar, Wind), in West Kalimantan. Phase 1 already has already received permits to supply power and will earn revenue via government subsidy vouchers that work in a similar way to a PPA. They are now looking for an International partner to help with funding.
Phase 1, 2020: (PERMITS AWARDED) PLTHibrid – 7.5MW (Wind/Solar) $15 Million
Construction : Nov 2020
Our client will be bringing power to a part of west Kalimantan that is currently off-grid. The business has been given permission to supply 24 villages with power over a 10 year period. This is a highly attractive contract as the agreed tariff is 2x the normal level given the shorter duration of the contract (typical contract 20 years). The government has done this to reduce the payback period to attract investment given the priority being place on the rural electrification policy (Indonesia Terang) by the Jokowi government.
